The ultimate solo travel cooker

Travel Companion

The lightweight and compact solo model, TRAILPOT S900, has arrived in the TRAILPOT series. The TRAILPOT S900 is a rectangular aluminum cooker designed for ease of use in the field, following the popular deep rectangular design of the TRAILPOT S1200P.

Lightweight and compact

With a weight of 225g and compact storage dimensions of 156×107×80mm, it is ideal for human-powered travel such as mountaineering and cycling. The square shape fits well into backpacks, enhancing storage efficiency even when not in use.

High cooking performance

Versatile Deep Pot

The TRAILPOT S900 is the perfect 900ml size for cooking for one person. Its rounded rectangle shape allows for various cooking methods, including boiling, steaming, baking, and stir-frying. It’s the ultimate form designed for versatility in backpacking.

Stable, secure, and safe

The stable design allows for confident use with burners or alcohol stoves. The butterfly-shaped handle is approximately 11cm long and designed to minimize heat transfer to the hand.

High storage capacity

The Concept of Pot as Gear Container

We are thoroughly committed to storage efficiency during transport, determining dimensions based on various cooking tools. The TRAILPOT S900 can neatly store a 110-sized gas canister, burner, cutlery, and more. It truly functions as a gear container.

The satisfaction of a perfect fit

Creating your own kitchen set with The TRAILPOT is part of the fun. Start by placing your favorite utensils inside and you’ll be surprised by the perfect fit.

Meticulous design

Easy Cleanup and Maintenance

The material used is 1mm thick aluminum, with an easy-to-clean fluorine resin coating. The deep pot has a practical capacity of 600ml (900ml when full) and features measurement markings in 200ml increments up to 600ml. It can cook up to one cup of rice, with water measurement markings for cooking.

More than just a lid

The lid knob is designed longer so it can be easily grasped while wearing gloves or using tongs. The lid has a raised edge of about 17mm, allowing it to be used as a plate.

Storage Bag

The storage bag is a simple drawstring type with a single strap. It is made from thick mesh material to protect the cooker from scratches.

Pair with the TRAILPOT S1200P

The TRAILPOT S900 can stack inside the TRAILPOT S1200P, creating a cooking system suitable for 2 to 4-person backpacking or group mountaineering.

DESIGNER'S VOICE

"These days, there just aren’t any interesting cookers coming out. The times can’t keep up with me."

One of our staff members said that, and it really fired up my designer spirit. This guy has over 100 cookers at home and is a self-proclaimed gear geek. I wanted to create something that would impress him, and that’s how this project got started.

First, we had to figure out the basics: round or square? What size? How deep? What kind of handle? Digging into these details is always the most fun and exciting part of the design process for me. Then, we started narrowing things down. Instead of working with a sewing machine, I was drilling holes, cutting aluminum sheets, and basically turning the studio into a metal workshop. After lots of discussions with the team, we settled on a square cooker. Once we decided on the concepts of "a perfect fit" and "making delicious meals with convenience store ingredients," the design process really took off, and by 2020, we had a final design.

The delay in launching was because finding the right factory and scaling up production was a real challenge. It took a lot of time to get the quality just right. Working with a factory that specializes in cookers was completely different from our usual backpack manufacturers, and then the pandemic slowed everything down even more. We ended up changing factories a few times, redoing molds each time, which only added to the delays. This project turned out to be the most time-consuming and costly one we’ve ever worked on in terms of initial investment, development costs, and labor.

During all this, solo camping became popular, the Mess tin became a trend, and then the trend started to cool off. So commercially, we’re definitely late to the party. But honestly, I’m not too worried about it because we’ve created something so useful and timeless. After starting this in 2018, we’ve finally made it to the launch. I can’t wait for all the gear geeks out there who love a good perfect fit to give it a try.

Let’s pack and go!
